Lawson at MTV Live Lockdown

This happened back in April but wasn’t sure if I was allowed to share it as it hadn’t aired yet. But now its on MTV, “Roads” is out and they’ve been on tour….I think I’ve waited long enough to post it now! So, I’ve been a Lawson fan for far too long and always missed any chance to see them perform live because of one reason or the other. So for this to be such an intimate and exclusive show I could actually go to was an incredible opportunity which I thought I’d share with you guys.

“I Can Explain…”: Overdue Apologies

If you haven’t guessed from the title this is all about how super sorry I am, something I think I say far too often on here.

MUSIC // “Spotify Wishlist”

You know when you hear a new song and you’re listening to it on repeat on YouTube while you’re at home, desperately waiting for the release date which is usually like an annoying three months away. Which means its not on Spotify for an absolute age and you’re using all your mobile data up trying to get your daily listen while YouTube takes it sweet time to decide whether or not it wants to buffer for a good hour or so. Anyone else know this struggle?

The Versatile Blogger Award

Another thank you to Shannon at Shannon Stacey for the nomination, she never fails to tag me in really interesting tags which I really enjoy doing – be sure to check out her fabulous blog!
HOW IT WORKS…
1. Thank the person who gave you this award, and leave a link to their blog.
2. Tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.
3. Select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.
4. Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award.
7 FACTS ABOUT ME:
1. I was born in Cardiff but only stayed for a month after and then moved to Lincolnshire. I have a Welsh birth certificate though so I guess I’m Welsh…?
2. I am obsessed/crazy/in love with Beyoncé that she can and has reduced me to hysterical tears [Note: anyone else clock the Beyoncé references? Nope just me then…cool]
3. I have been fortunate enough to be front row at her show and hold Beyoncé’s hand which made me bawl like an absolute baby
4. I am Nigerian and Brazilian (its a small part on my Mum’s side but it counts and sounds exotic)
5. Absolutely terrified of clowns and I’ve only recently started to overcome my phobia of boats, pins/needles and flying (on a plane not actual flying…I don’t have wings)
6. I went through a phase of being obsessed with anything star print or anything to do with stars purely because my name means star. I still love stars but not to the point I’m wearing everything star print head to toe – and yes that has unfortunately happened (and no there will be no photographic evidence of this posted!)
7. I’m in my second year of uni studying Consumer Behaviour and Marketing and hope to go on a placement year next year.
I nominate the following 15 to do the same:
2. Nicole
5. Milly
7. Jess
9. Buma
10. Fiona
12. Poppy
14. Beth
Thanks again to Shannon for the nomination; thinking of 7 facts about yourself is harder than it sounds but hopefully you guys got to know me somewhat better – hope I’ve not scared you all off haha!
Until next time,
Esther

HIGHLIGHTS OF 2014

HAPPY NEW YEAR YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!

So in my previous post I talked about what I was thankful for in 2014 and what I was hoping for in 2015, you can have a read of it here. 2014 was definitely filled with so many memories: seeing Beyoncé for the second time and holding her hand (YES I HELD HER HAND), interned at Boots Head Offices in the summer, started my blog, made some AMAZING friends, met some incredible people, finished and passed my first year at uni, saw Rixton live, road trips, birthdays, parties, and lots of laughter. Of course there were low points but lets not dwell on that. Here are my highlights of 2014, hope you enjoy!

To think there are even more photos on my old phone  and on my Instagram that I can’t get off at the moment just goes to show how camera happy I got this year haha! What were your highlights of 2014? I’ve really enjoyed reading people’s year round up/highlights posts so feel free to comment links to any of these below!

Until next time,

Esther

LIFESTYLE// Thankful for 2014, hopeful for 2015

Its super weird thinking that its the end of 2014 today, literally feels like about a month or so ago we were all ringing in the new year! Time really does fly by! With this post, I fancy a little bit of a ramble if I’m honest, bit of a reflection, ’cause if NYE isn’t a time to get all deep, rambly and reflective, when is it!?

So new years resolutions: almost everyone seems to attempt to make one up and almost without fail…well they fail to do so. Me personally, I’ve not been big on doing new years resolutions or at least saying them out loud purely because I don’t often stand by it or the usual being it lasts for about a month (day) or two and it all goes out the window.

With this being said, 2014 was the cliché rollercoaster for me with a lot of loop-di-loops (how do you even spell loop-di-loop!?) and I’m actually nothing but thankful for the fact I’ve been through it all and I’m alive and well to see in 2015 (and many more years in the future we pray!). Me and my family like to do this thing where we write or say what we’re thankful for this year and what we hope to see happen/do in the year to come. So I’m gonna do just that!

BEAUTY // WINTER SOS: “SAVE OUR SKIN”

winter beauty

Like most people, I despise having dry skin. And whilst winter is one of my favourite seasons, my already dry skin suffers to the extreme due to it being so cold. I started to realise that my day creams weren’t enough to ensure that My skin wasn’t drying out as soon as the cold winds smacked it in the face. In this post, I’m gonna share with you how I keep my skin moisturised and baby soft throughout the cold months! Hope you enjoy!
