HIGHLIGHTS OF 2014

HAPPY NEW YEAR YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!

So in my previous post I talked about what I was thankful for in 2014 and what I was hoping for in 2015, you can have a read of it here. 2014 was definitely filled with so many memories: seeing Beyoncé for the second time and holding her hand (YES I HELD HER HAND), interned at Boots Head Offices in the summer, started my blog, made some AMAZING friends, met some incredible people, finished and passed my first year at uni, saw Rixton live, road trips, birthdays, parties, and lots of laughter. Of course there were low points but lets not dwell on that. Here are my highlights of 2014, hope you enjoy!

To think there are even more photos on my old phone  and on my Instagram that I can’t get off at the moment just goes to show how camera happy I got this year haha! What were your highlights of 2014? I’ve really enjoyed reading people’s year round up/highlights posts so feel free to comment links to any of these below!

Until next time,

Esther

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”

Heeeey!

Okay so this is a little different to my previous posts. I was cooking for the family the other day and while I was slicing peppers, I suddenly stopped and just ran to get my camera. I went to show my family the photos and its safe to say they weren’t as impressed, which was understandable because me being a bit camera happy meant food took about twice as long.

I just could really appreciate the different textures and elements there were to this one pepper that was in an in between phase and wanted to capture that on camera. It just showed me how you can really find beauty in almost anything as ridiculous as peppers and that beauty really truly is in the eye of the beholder.

Being at uni meant that I haven’t been able to bring out my trusty Fujifilm Finepix camera out as much so I thoroughly enjoyed taking these photos…some may I was a little bit too snap happy but hey, its the little things in life that can make us the happiest I guess. No matter how weird and wonderful they may be.

I thought I’d share some of my spontaneous snap happy in the kitchen moments with you guys on here, so have a click on each image to see them in full size.

[Note: All images included in this post were photographed – and edited by me]

Granted this is a bit of a random post but I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did when taking the photos.

Until next time,

Esther

PS. I didn’t include captions on the images so I could let you interpret the photographs as YOU  wished. However extreme or obvious it may be, do let me know your thoughts in the comments below, I’m always intrigued to see other people’s interpretations – that’s what makes photography so fun for me!

I’ve included a link to the Tumblr version of this post, which you can view here.
